Do you want to be part of SAVING lives? Join us as we Walk for LIFE in support of the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater. We will walk and raise funds to support their work in saving lives of pre-born babies and sparing hearts of mothers, father, and families. Our church will be participating in the April 27th walk at the Norfolk Zoo. If you would like to become a fundraising walker and begin collecting donations or support one of our walkers, you can do so HERE.
(Registration now closed) Join the Young Adults of Kempsville Church for an afternoon of food and fun at TopGolf. Pastors Tony and Tracy will be leading the outing after service on April 28th. It will be $10 per person. Come out for a great time together!
Youth Camp is coming up soon with three weeks of fun and pursuing Jesus together. There are three weeks of camp for different age groups: High School (June 17th – 21st), Middle School (June 24th – 28th), and Elementary (July 1st – 5th). If you would like your child or children to travel with those from our church heading to Roanoke rather than taking them yourself, you can sign up, HERE, to let us know they plan to come. In order to off-set travel costs and confirm your spot, a $10 payment for travel with our group is required.
The Youth and Discipleship Department of the Virginia Church of God is hosting the 5K Run & Walk OrphanRun4Hope on Saturday, May 4th. The East location will be at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, VA starting at 8:30AM. Participants will be raising funds to support 6,000 orphans across 50 orphanages in 27 countries. The Men of Kempsville Church are assembling for our monthly Men’s Breakfast on May 11th at 9:00AM in the Multi-Purpose Room at the church. We will have great food including eggs, bacon, and French toast. We will also have a relevant devotion and an awesome group of guys to share the morning activities. Make your plans to be there!
It is always a special opportunity to honor our mothers on Mother’s Day every year. Our Mother’s Day Service will be on May 12th at 10:30AM. We will have gift cards for three mothers in attendance and everyone will be able to enjoy Mr. Softee ice cream after service. Plan to be there and bring your mom!
Children are a blessing and we know it is important to seek the Lord’s favor over their lives. One way that we express this regularly is through Child Dedications at Kempsville Church. Parents commit to raising their children in a Christian household and to teach them Biblical principles. The church commits to come alongside them as they prepare the way for their children.
