Pastor Brett Gazard has been part of the Kempsville Church staff since March 2018 and currently serves as our Executive Pastor. In this role, he oversees the church financials, manages the logistics for church day to day operations, as well as coordinating our various ministries along with Pastor Tony. Prior to receiving his ministry credentials in August 2020, Brett conducted many of these duties as our Director of Church Administration.

 

Pastor Brett grew up in Virginia Beach and attended Kempsville Church most of his life until moving to the University of Virginia in 2010. While attending UVA, he received his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Government as well as Religious Studies in 2014 and Master of Education in 2015. Through his time serving as a student servant leader in Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship, he became passionate about using small group ministry to reach others for Christ. He spent a couple years working in Football Operations at the University of Virginia and the University of North Carolina before returning to Virginia Beach as an Academic Advisor at Regent University. This allowed him to get involved in ministry at Kempsville Church again and eventually join our staff.
